Reading Group: “The Long Loneliness”

  • First Presbyterian Church - Cooperstown, NY 25 Church Street Cooperstown, NY, 13326 United States (map)

Why do we read the Bible? Perhaps to find beauty, comfort and inspiration. Or to figure out what we believe and how we should live. I love to read novels, poetry, history and autobiography for the same reasons. For me, faith, art and life have always been tangled up together. Please join me for any or all of the book discussion sessions below. These works are about folks who are struggling to live out their moral visions as well as writing about them. Books will be provided free of charge - and you can come even if you haven’t done the reading or don’t feel like talking. I’ll send around a reminder and a little information about the book we’re reading ahead of each meeting.
