For many the holidays are a joyful time. But not for all. For some the holiday season is marked by feelings of regret, pain, or loss. The Blue Christmas Service is for them. Maybe it’s for you.

You’ll hear words from Hebrew and Christian Scripture shared by representatives of Fly Creek and Cooperstown churches, prayers, and a couple of quiet songs.

You are invited to come as you are (dress for the weather – we’ll be outdoors), and bring a friend if you know someone else who is grieving in this season.

You’re encouraged to write down your hurts and griefs, and add them to the fire from which we light our candles of hope against the darkness.
